Studios 401 & 402 above the picturesque Old Harbour, Puerto Del Carmen
These immaculate and beautifully decorated, studio apartments, are situated in a residential, location, above the delightful ‘Old Town’ of Puerto Del Carmen. Located on the second floor of a small, well run complex, they each benefit from a private, shaded terrace. A few minutes walk takes you down hill to the charming harbour area and a fantastic choice of restaurants, overlooking the sea. Across from the complex is a small shopping parade with a lovely gift shop, supermarket, butcher, hairdresser, bars, cafes and a well known and reasonably priced Italian restaurant. A beautiful, nearby coastal path takes you along a 30 minute, cliff top walk to the spectacular, yachting marina at Puerto Calero where there is a wide selection of restaurants, designer shops, two cocktail lounges and some fabulous excursions. If you don’t fancy walking back after a long, lazy meal from either of these gorgeous venues, there are many, easily available taxis which are very reasonable.
The locals call the area ‘millionaires row’ as it is very exclusive and expensive. The complex is quiet and relaxing and has everything you need; a telephone, internet access, washing machine and a restaurant with take away meals or if you prefer, delivered to your studio. If you have a late flight there are showers and toilets for you to make the most of your last day by the pool. Mario the complex manager is on duty from 10 am – 1pm and 4pm – 8pm. He is a mine of information, a charming man and is happy to organise taxis, tours and restaurant bookings for you.
Accommodation Review
These two apartments are situated side by side at the end of the second storey with terraces above them (no clicking heels!). No one lives below and no-one passes in front. We have totally refurbished both studios to a very high standard, you will want for nothing.
The main room has twin beds at the rear, and a comfortably sized lounge /diner. Everything has been thought of to make your stay perfect; relaxing leather sofa, flat screen TV with English channels, DVD player and DVD’s ,dining table and chairs. A screen separates the kitchen, which is modern and attractive with a full oven, hob, electric kettle, toaster and of course all the necessary cooking/ eating utensils.
The separate modern bathroom with walk in shower, toilet, and vanity unit is spacious and luxurious.
Outside there are tables and chairs for al fresco dining or sunning. Loungers are provided around the pool and the sun is on the studios all day but there is also adequate shade
All towels and bed linen are of course provided, all you need to bring are personal items.
Each studio sleeps 2. Why not rent both for 4 friends to come together or they would be ideal for a family with older children.
