El Diablo restaurant in Lanzarote uses the geothermal heat from a dormant volcano to cook its foodI know many of you reading this will have already visited Timanfaya but I was delighted to see a really great report on the experience in the Mail today which had 6 great photos ( one of which I have pinched!) If you haven’t been it really is a must see. Getting there by car is very straight forward and the whole experience is pretty unique. Make sure you get on the coach which transports you around the park , all included in the entrance price. The restaurant is subsidised so if you have time I really recommend lunch; the sardines are excellent and the views amazing. This really must be on your must do list when you visit.

Some of you may remember Casa Leon? this villa has been totally refurbished by the owners and re named ‘Last Rays’ I recently have taken new photographs and it will be on the website as soon as possible.

I am also in the process of updating the PDF files I forward to guests, there are lots of new restaurant additions and of course directions on the new road system. The whole process of getting from the airport to the north of the island is very much improved.

One last bit of news my friends Aly and Donny have purchased a new villa in Los Mojones, you all know how much pride they both take in their work I think it will be something special. As soon as I have photos it will be on the website of course.

Anyone who wants a break? Just drop me a line.
